In the forthcoming semifinals, Argentina has a challenge ahead. They will compete against the reigning champions, the Dominican Republic.
The recent match showcased Chile’s tenacity. Despite facing a two-set deficit and Argentina’s overwhelming control in the second set, the Chilean squad mounted a striking comeback. This forced the game into a tie-break, which Argentina ultimately won.
Argentina’s outstanding players included team captain Daniela Bulaich, who bagged 21 points, supported by María De La Paz Corbalan and Avril García, both notching 17 points. García further made a mark with a game-high of 4 blocks.
On the Chilean side, Captain Beatriz Novoa displayed commendable skill, registering 21 points solely from attacks. Petra Schwartzman also made her presence felt with 16 points, including 15 attacks and one block.
