Bulgaria, who was the co-host of the FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship, is seeking for a new head coach.

Plamen Konstantinov

After taking the 11th place in this tournament, Konstantinov and officials of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation sat down and discussed the achievements. After the meeting, they announced that the contract with Konstantinov won’t be extended.

The 45-year old coach was at the helm of the team since 2014. The Bulgarian media report that the reason for not renewing a contract might be a conflict with a libero Vladislav Ivanov.

Konstantinov is the head coach of Lokomotiv Novosibirsk and he will have a player who recently won the World Championship – Fabian Drzyzga.
