Even without their best scorer, Hungarian Krisztián Pádár, second seed Cheonan Hyundai Capital Skywalkers managed to outplay No.3 Seoul Woori Card Wibee in Game 2 of the Dodram 2018-2019 V League playoff semifinals and advance to the finals for the fourth consecutive time. The Skywalkers beat Woori in Game 1 by a 3-2 while it was 3-0 (32-30, 25-22, 25-12) in their favor in Game 2.
The Skywalkers will face Incheon Korean Air Jumbos in the finals (Game 1 on March 22). These two will the clash for the championship title for the third season in a row. The Skywalkers prevailed in the 2016/17 season while the Jumbos took the title in the 2017/18 season.
The victory of the Skywalkers in Game 2 against Woori is ever more meaningful knowing the fact it was secured without their best scorer Krisztián Pádár who felt a back pain the morning before the match. In the absence of the Hungarian opposite, Heo Su-Bong was the best scorer for the Skywalkers with 20 points. V League’s best scorer, Colombian Liberman Agámez, struggled for Woori – 13 points only.
