The former head coach of Russia Women’s national team with whom he became the FIVB World Championship winner in 2006, possesses very notable international pedigree. On a club level while working with Women’s sides, he claimed FIVB Club World Championship once, CEV Champions League four times, and CEV Cup once.
Caprara’s first task is won a spot for Azerbaijan at the Olympic Games in Tokyo via Olympic qualifiers from August 2-4 in which his team will face Brazil, Dominican Republic, and Cameroon. After that, comes EuroVolley as the next big test for his team.
