The last-placed team in the Top 8 of the 2018/19 Japanese Women’s Volleyball Championship, NEC Red Rockets, hired Polish international Berenika Tomsia.

Berenika Tomisa, who has been put aside by Poland National Team coaching staff this year, will stay in Asia for one more season but will change the country to play in. The 31-year-old opposite hitter came to NEC Red Rockets, Japan, after a season in which she won the Korean Championship with Hungkuk Life Pink Spiders.

Tomsia was a two-time Polish champion (with BKS Profi Credit Bielsko-Biała in 2010 and with Chemik Police in 2018) and a one-time Polish Cup (2009) and Super Cup winner (2011) – both with BKS Profi Credit Bielsko-Biała.

She was replaced in the Pink Spiders by an Argentinean international.
