As Bruno Voloch published in his blog, referring to the sources in the U.S. Volleyball Federation (USAV), the 24-year-old Hannah Tapp will continue her career in Hitachi Rivale, Japan, and not in Botafogo, Brazil, for which she signed the contract. The team based in Hitachinaka city offered around 100,000 euros to an American middle blocker and she accepted it, according to Voloch. Hitachi were forced to seek a replacement for Tapp’s compatriot Rachael Adams, who has a knee injury.
Tapp was awarded Best Blocker at the 2019 Pan-American Cup and is on the roster of the U.S. National Team at the ongoing FIVB World Cup in Japan.

100,000 euros doe’t to be too much. I can’t imagine what Brazil has offered her. My guess is Turkey top teams are paying good middle blockers 300K to 500K euros. Then I can’t fathom Zhu Ting is making 1.5M euros and if she were to press her case with Vakifbank, she might have gotten more. Vakifbank made the 1.5M offer and Zhu didn’t counter.
