The Korean Women’s Volleyball Championship runners-up Korea Expressway Corporation Hi-Pass replaced their foreign player less than a week prior to the opening of the 2019/20 season (October 19).

Expressway published that their choice number one for a foreign player for the next season, the American Sherridan Atkinson, broke inner ligament in her right knee during the training and was predicted a significant break. Thus, she and a club parted ways, which forced the club management to find a replacement for her.

The choice has fallen on Atkinson’s compatriot Taylor Cook. The 26-year-old outside hitter is familiar with playing in South Korea knowing that she defended the colors of Hungkuk Life Pink Spiders in the 2017/18 season. Last season, Cook (ex-Simpson) played in France, in the jersey of Paris Saint-Cloud.
