Gentofte
After a convincing victory over Boldklubben Marienlyst in the final in Århus, Gentofte Volley won the national cup (Landspokalen Mænd) for the second year in a row: 3-0 (25-18, 25-22, 25-17).
For the sixth time in the history of Danish volleyball, Gentofte and Marienlyst faced each other in a cup final. The last time this happened was in the 2017/18 season when the latter took the gold medal. In this year’s final, however, the reigning cup champions Gentofte were better by a class and raised the trophy after three well-played sets.
Tobias Hougs Kjær top-scorer for the winners with 16 points, while Anders Lammert Hartmann made 83% reception (23 digs, 13% perfect). Jacob Stein Brinck tallied 21 points for Marienlyst. Gentofte setter Sebastian Mikelsons was named MVP of the competition.
This was the seventh time Gentofte won the national cup.
