The Qatar League Cup is a competition that is played without foreign players, which means that all participants performed without some of their main players.

Al Arabi SC participated without Rosalin Penchev (BUL), Michal Finger (CZE) and Mario Mocic (CRO), while Police SC participated without Oliver Venno (EST) and Vilner Rivas (VEN).

As hosts of the final of the third edition of the Qatari National League Cup, they defeated Police SC – both sides topped their respective pools in the preliminary round – who nearly came back from 0-2. Partially, it was 27-25, 25-21, 17-25, 23-25, and 15-13 in the favor of the team coached by Argentinean Juan Manuel Cichello.

This title is the first for Al Arabi SC in the competition after they lost the final of the last two editions – first from Al Rayyan SC and then from Police SC.

2019/20 Qatar League Cup – final:

Police SC – Al Arabi SC 2-3 (25-27, 21-25, 25-17, 25-23, 13-15)
