Romanian federation President accused of corruption, loses elections

After four consecutive terms, Gheorghe Vișan, the President of the Romanian Volleyball Federation (FR Volei), lost the elections.

Gheorghe Vișan, the longest-serving president in Romanian sports, lost the elections in the FR Volei to Adin Cojocaru.

Vișan was at the head of Romanian volleyball since 2004. Last month, he was accused of corruption. Allegedly, he used the money of one Foundation, whose co-founder is the country’s federation, for personal purposes.
