ARGENTINE CUP M: UPCN win back-to-back title, Brajkovic MVP

UPCN San Juan Vóley were crowned champions of the Argentine Men’s Volleyball Cup for the second consecutive year.

In Mar del Plata, UPCN San Juan Vóley defeated the surprising finalists Club Atlético Paracao by a 3-0 (25-18, 27-25, 25-21) and were crowned champions of the Argentine Men’s Cup (Copa RUS) for the second consecutive year.

The team led by Fabián Armoa had Sebastián Brajkovic as MVP and Brazilian Valdir Gonçalves Júnior ‘Juninho’ and Alejandro Toro as top scorers with 14 points apiece. Juan Simón Villarruel tallied 13 points on the losing side, who will make their debut in the Argentine Championship when the season starts, which will be next month.

Winning the national cup, UPCN reached the 21st trophy in the club history.
