As Voleybol Magazin learned, a former Serbia National Team member Rašić will take a temporary break from volleyball when the ongoing season ends. A 30-year-old middle blocker is an icon of Turkey’s VakıfBank whose jersey she has been wearing in the last 7 years and with whom she won 2 CEV Champions Leagues, 2 FIVB Club World Championships, 2 Turkish Championships, and 1 Turkish Super Cup.
With Serbia, Rašić became the European champion twice (2011 and 2017), world champions once (2018), and European League winner twice (2010 and 2011). Individually, among numerous recognitions, she can brag with the awards for Best Middle Blocker of Rio Olympics, as well as of the FIVB World Grand Prix (twice), and CEV Champions League (3 times).

But why?
Re: @Gaboh I think it’s a mental burnout. She has not been the same a few years after the 2016 Olympics. During the final, she blocked Zhu Ting ~5 times. Both her and Boskovic’s armpits were above the net, jumping so high. She gave it all. I don’t think she is even on the National Team any more (her choice). That coach is a hard ass too.
What about Nacional team?
If so Terzic would need Jovana Stevanovic back into the team, if she would. I thought she is preparing for a birth.
Re: @petar Rasic will play in Tokyo Olympics and probably ECH too. She will take a break after that.
