In the first semifinal match of the day, Police SC defeated Qatar SC 3-0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-23). Police SC continues to confirm quality and invincibility in competitions this season. Although reinforced by Konstantin Bakun, who came from Al Rayyan SC, Qatar SC failed to get a chance for anything more than decent resistance to Police SC.

For Police SC Oliver Venno was the top scorer with 19 points, while Wilner Rivas added 15. Konstantin Bakun was the best player of Qatar SC with 12 points.

In the second game of the day, Al Arabi SC defeated Al Ahli SC 3-1 (25-19, 27-29, 31-29, 29-27). Al Arabi SC, after parting ways with Stephen Boyer at the end of the league, reacted promptly and hired Lukasz Zygadlo, who led his team brilliantly to victory in an exciting match full of uncertainty.

Bojan Đukić with 24 and Rozalin Penchev with 22 points were the top scorers for Al Arabi SC. It is also worth mentioning that Al Arabi SC scored 23 block points which was crucial to the win. Miguel Angel Dalmau scored 28, Roman Danilov 24 and Aleksei Spiridonov 17 points for Al Ahli SC.
