Caltex
GS Caltex KIXX lost against KGC Ginseng Corporation in the last match of the regular season in the 2020/21 Korean Women’s Dodram V-League by a 1-3 (25-20, 19-25, 24-26, 18-25).
However, they secured the title in the regular season earlier so their head coach Cha Sang-Hyun gave his leading players, including and American Merete Lutz, a break today. Prior to the match against KGC, Caltex made 6 wins in a row and took advantage of a commotion in the Heungkuk Life Insurance Pink Spiders caused by the controversy over school violence and disciplinary action the reigning champions imposed on the twin sisters Lee.
Caltex ended the regular season with 20-10 and 58 points, earning an automatic ticket to the playoff finals. The Pink Spiders finished second and will face third-placed IBK Industrial Bank Altos in the semifinals, starting on March 20.
