In the last couple of days, 2 clubs from Brčko became the senior champions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, both at home ground and both by extending already long title streaks. The women’s team ŽOK Bimal-Jedinstvo defeated UOK Banja Luka Volley in Game 3 of the playoff finals of the 2020/21 Premijer liga. After 1-1 in the series, the volleyball players from Brčko reached the 14th successive title of the Bosnian champions, prevailing in a decisive game with the result of 3-1 (25-17, 22-25, 25-16, 25-13).
Ivana Radović top-scored Jedinstvo in a decider with 18 points. Duška Kenjalo set up 5 blocks, while Katarina Popović made 86 % reception (21 digs). In addition to 12 titles won in the national cup, Jedinstvo are the absolute rulers of Bosnian women’s club volleyball, and arguably the most trophy-winning team in general in the country.
OK Mladost Brčko defeated HOK Domaljevac in Game 2 of the finals of the men’s playoffs and thus reached the title of national champions for the 7th time in a row. After winning away in Game 1 (3-1) last weekend, the Brčko side celebrated the title at home beating rivals by a 3-1 (22-25, 25-12, 25-18, 25-16).
Montenegrin Jovan Delić was Mladost’s top scorer in the 2nd match with 19 points, while Mlađen Lukić made 86 % reception (29 digs, 45 % excellent). The outside hitter of the winning side Armin Mustedanović was named MVP of the final series. In addition to 7 national cup titles, Mladost absolutely dominate Bosnian men’s club volleyball.
