Nuchar Murillo-UCAM Murcia
The first game of the semifinal series of the female Superliga fulfilled all expectations and was sensational from start to finish. The visitors started the first set brilliantly and went ahead in to a 7:18. Nuchar Murillo equalized the score to 20:21, but the local effort was useless because the UCAM Murcia took the upper hand and scored the first set 23:25.
Local team reacted in the second set. The Murillo controlled smoothly set, with partial 8:6, 16:12. With great distribution balls from Yoraxi Melean and nice play by Daniela Da Silva Nuchar Murillo equalized with 25:17.
The third set was the longest and tighter, with little difference on the scoreboard but always with Murillo ahead. Daniela Da Silva, brilliant in the whole game, with 27 points, receiving 88%, two aces and two blocks was the weapon of the local, which won the set by 30:28.
The UCAM Murcia not said its last word after lost the third set. They struck again in the fourth set, dominated through the whole set. The UCAM Murcia relative ease won the set by 21:25.
This led to the fifth and final set. The Murcia could not respond to the opponent and Nuchar Murillo closed the set with a clear 15:8 to notch the victory 3:2.
The two teams will meet again in the second game of the series. Second match will be held this Saturday, at 19:00.
