Serbia wins friendlies with Bulgaria on their way to World League start

Serbia and Bulgaria played this past weekend a couple of friendlies at “Sumice” sports hall in Beograd. The home guys claimed the first clash 3:1. The game was refereed by two of Serbia’s international referees, Boris Kolarevic and Andjelko Popovic, and attended by the President and First Vice President of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, Aleksandar Boricic and Nenad Golijanin, as well as by Secretary General Slobodan Milosevic.

Serbia then claimed a close 3:2 win in the second fixture (33-35, 25-17, 25-20, 18-25, and 15-10) after 124 minutes of play to keep a clean record at the end of the weekend.

Serbia will continue its preparations for the start of the World League by traveling to Poland and play there the guys mentored by Italian-born head coach Andrea Anastasi on May 24 in Milicz and one day later at Twardogora.
