Having won the first set with a comprehensive 25-18 result, Police went down 19-25 in the second but managed to keep their focus and came back strong to win the match 25-22, 26-24.
Police coach, Salim Bowlih of Algeria was pleased with his team’s performance, “We played a great entertaining game this evening. Win against Al-Arabi is always hard fought as they are a strong side and we have to repeat this performance in the final too.”
Brigadier General Khalid Al-Attiyah, Chairman of Police Sports Association expressed his satisfaction and is delighted with the deserving win. Al-Attiyah also referred to the overall performance of his team this season which he believes has not been to its mark as they didn’t manage to win any title, but registering a berth in the final will possibly change the fortune.
