“Luckily, we kept calm at the end of the fifth set”, said Peru captain Ginna Lopez.

Peru coach Natalia Málaga Dibos: “Our performance in the first and second set was great. Unfortunately, my team then stopped following my instructions. We need to learn to play under big pressure like today.”

Peru captain Ginna Lopez: “I am satisfied with our level of play in the first two sets. Later on, we lost focus. Luckily, we kept calm at the end of the fifth set.”

Mexico coach Estanislao Vachino: “I played without Samantha Bricio and Alejandra Isiordia today as my team did a good job versus Turkey with the modified line-up. However, in the fifth set we committed too many mistakes. It is a pity!”

Mexico top scorer Lizbeth Sainz: “We tried our best but experienced many ups and downs today. Anyway, I am happy because in general we played well today and enjoyed the game.”
