On the other side, the Turkish boys have also felt somethig special every time they entered the court before their matches. After the match played on Monday captains and coaches exchanged their thoughts.
Matias Miranda, Captain of Argentina: “We finish this round and go to Tijuana, we appreciate everything people has done for us here. It is a very hot city, but the warmth of fans has made us feel happy.”
Yigit Gulmezoglu, captain of Turkey: “We also want to thank fans. However in tonight’s match we are not so happy for the result. We made a lot of mistakes and Argentina was better on the court.”
Julian Alvarez, coach of Argentina: “Everything worked for us in this match in terms of attack and counterattack.”
Ali Kazi Hidayetoglu, coach of Turkey: “Argentina is a great team with good experience and very strong in the blocking game I hope they finish in a good place.”
