Serbia edged the young “Oranjes” 3:0 (25-15, 25-20, and 25-18) to finish the prelims on the top of the Pool A.

The local heroines could not stand the quality displayed by the fourth-ranked of the last European Championship who totally dominated the game from start up to the end registering 14 aces and 7 blocks along the way to their 3-0 victory.

Serbia was paced by Tijana Bošković and Maja Aleksić who both registered 13 points.

With this result Serbia finished first in Pool A with 7 points to play the runners-up of Pool B, Germany, in the semis.

In the other match of the last day of preliminary action 2013 European champions Poland needed five sets to cruise past Greece (25-22, 15-25, 25-19, 14-25, and 15-9) but still have to be content to contest the classification matches 5-8.
