The Lee twins, South Korean female volleyball players and former national team members, have arrived in Greece and officially joined PAOK.
Lee Da-Yeong and Lee Jae-Yeong arrived in Thessaloniki to join the Greek topflight side PAOK. The twins left Korea accompanied by police officers because of new charges of committing physical abuse. More precisely, Da-Yeong was accused of violence by her husband, while at the beginning of the year, both players were accused of bullying their teammates in high school due to which both were expelled from their club – the Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders – and national team. However, the reigning Greek Cup winners didn’t give up on the Lee sisters and embraced them with ’both arms’.
Da-Yeong won the Korean Championship once and the Cup twice. At the individual level, she has become the Best Setter in the Korean league three times. Da-Yeong took the gold medal with the national team in the 2014 Asian Games.
Jae-Yeong won the Korean Championship one time but has many individual recognitions on her account. She was named MVP of V-League and Best Outside Spiker two times each and Best Receiver one time. While playing for the Korea National Team, Jae-Yeong was awarded Best Attacker of the pre-Olympic tournament once and won a gold medal in the Asian Games once as well.
