The 2022 Czech Men’s Volleyball Cup final was a great advertisement for this sport with a happy ending for VK Jihostroj České Budějovice.
As expected, the two strongest men’s teams in the country at the moment, ČEZ Karlovarsko and VK Jihostroj České Budějovice, made it to the final of this year’s Czech Cup (Český pohár mužů). The latter are the winners of the trophy. In the dramatic final in Teplice, they prevailed 3-2 over the rival from whom they lost twice already this season, partially 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 17-25, 15-13. Thus, Jihostroj won the competition for the 8th time in history, the 3rd time in a row.
Their outside hitter from Serbia, Filip Stoilović, was elected the MVP of the final.
