For the second time in their club history, Riga took the national title in women’s club volleyball. The team from the country’s capital, the 2nd-seed, defeated last year’s champions and also top-seed VK Jelgava in a single-match playoff final of the 2021/22 Optibet Latvijas čempionātā sievietēm with a score of 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-22).

Līva Ēbere and Kristīne Kramēna top-scored Riga, who added one more title in the league to one in 2019, in a decider with 16 points apiece.
