CSM Volei Alba-Blaj won, mathematically, the 6th women’s national title in Romania. After the away victory over CS Medgidia with the score of 3-1 (21-25, 25-15, 25-14, 25-17) in Round 4 of the playoff phase (Group 1-4) of the 2021/22 Divizia A1 Feminin, the team commanded by Serbian Stevan Ljubičić collected 72 points. That’s 10 points more than the 2nd-ranked, the reigning champions, CSM Târgovişte, with 2 more rounds scheduled until the end of the championship. Russian Victoriia Russu top-scored Alba today with 19 points, while Serbians Nadja Ninković and Jovana Kocić made 4 blocks apiece.

This season, apart from the national league, Alba won the Romanian Cup and the Super Cup, i.e. the ‘triple crown’.
