Vargas, a powerful Cuban-born opposite hitter, has agreed to go to Tianjin for the second season in a row. And just like in 2021-22, the 22-year-old player will take advantage of an early conclusion of the Chinese Super League (usually in March) to return to Turkey’s Fenerbahçe Opet and finish the season in a club whose jersey she has been wearing since 2018. Last season, Vargas was named Best Spiker, Best Scorer, and Best Server of the Chinese Championship which was conquered by her team.

Recall that in April 2021, Vargas was naturalized in Turkey, and about this time next year, she’ll be able to play for the country’s national team.
