The college-level women’s volleyball in the United States, the well-known and already very popular NCAA Division I Women’s Championship, will get more attention next season.
The streaming platform of the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB), volleyballworld.tv, opens up to the activity of American women’s college volleyball that has been launching numerous future stars for decades.
Right after signing the partnership with VolleyballMag.com, the leading North American volleyball news site, the FIVB closed an agreement with Big Ten Network, an American sports network that covers collegiate sports in the Big Ten Conference. This means that every Big Ten volleyball match that’s aired this year, which will be close to 50, will be broadcast on volleyballworld.tv outside of North America and a few Caribbean Islands. However, volleyballworld.tv will stream those matches live and on-demand anywhere else in the world, and those interested to watch them will access the FIVB streaming platform via VolleyballMag.com.
Apart from broadcasting indoor and beach volley games that are part of competitions under the auspices of the FIVB, volleyballworld.tv has been covering games of the Italian Women’s Championship (Serie A) since last season.
