One of the biggest transfers in Romanian club volleyball history occurred in the first days of 2023.
The arrival of the former big name of the France National Team, Pierre Pujol, at CS Dinamo București is certainly one of the biggest-ever transfers in Romanian club volleyball. Having reached the age of 38, the setter signed a six-month contract with the most titled Romanian side (18 championships), which is in first place in the national league at the moment.
Pujol, who’s at the end of his career, was the captain of the France National Team, with whom he won the CEV European Championship in 2015 and the FIVB World League the same year, as well as two years later. He retired from international volleyball in 2016, after participating in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. Pujol has just parted ways with Poland’s BBTS Bielsko-Biała.
