In a challenging qualification journey for the 2024 Olympic Games, Iran’s national volleyball team couldn’t cement their position among the world’s elite teams. Despite losses to countries like Germany, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Italy, Brazil, and Cuba, they managed a victory over Qatar. The recent performance has raised eyebrows, and the federation is keen on reinvigorating the squad.

With an aim to revive their Olympic hopes, Iran volleyball federation’s top brass is considering reintroducing some iconic players to the squad. Notably, the return of ex-captain Saeid Marouf and Amir Ghafour is rumored.

After the resignation of Iran’s national volleyball team’s head coach, Behrouz Ataei, the Iranian Volleyball Federation is on the hunt for a new head coach for a 5-year tenure. The Federation is eyeing some of the most prominent figures in the global volleyball scene to lead the national team.
