The Bulgarian Volleyball Federation (BVF) announced the renewal of Italian expert Lorenzo Micheli’s contract as the head coach of the Bulgarian women’s national team for an additional year. This decision was reached during a recent meeting of the Executive Board of the BVF.
Lorenzo Micheli, 53, has been commended for his exemplary performance in 2023, leading the team to significant achievements. Under his guidance, the Bulgarian national team not only retained their position in the prestigious Volleyball Nations League (VNL) but also secured a top 8 finish in the European Championship.
Looking ahead to 2024, the Bulgarian team is set to compete in the VNL once again. Micheli has already laid out a comprehensive program and strategic vision for the team’s upcoming training and participation, which he presented to BVF officials.
