The Slovenian Volleyball Federation has announced the extension of head coach Alessandro Orefice’s contract with the women’s national team, securing his position for the next two seasons, until end of 2026. Under the Italian coach’s guidance, the women’s team has made significant progress and now prepares for a historic season, including their first-ever World Championship appearance.
“It’s an honor to continue this journey,” Orefice said. “We’ve achieved so much in a short time, and I’m excited about the future.”
The team’s packed agenda includes the Golden European League, EuroVolley qualifiers, and the World Championship in Thailand this August. Federation President Metod Ropret praised Orefice’s energy and ability to unite the players, saying he’s confident the team will continue to grow.
