According to the public relations of the Iranian volleyball federation, the new Serbian head coach arrived in Tehran after placing second in Italian Serie A and directly joined to his new players’ camp.
In the second friendly match against Australia, Kovač coached the Iranian national volleyball team and achieved his first win with Iran.
Saeid Maroof, Amir Ghafoor, Farhad Ghaemi, Rahman Davoodi, Mohammad Mousavi, Adel Gholami, Mehdi Marandi were of main players in this game. The match finished 3-0 (25-21, 25-10, 25-16) for Iran. After the match the two teams agreed to play one more set with their substitute players in which Iran won the set again 25-18.
Hosein Madani was the assistance of Kovač in this game beside Carlo Sati being the new fitness coach of Iran. The third match between Iran and Australia will be tomorrow at 15:15 which would be their last game.
