Oliver Bassoe (on the photo) led his team like a true captain, spearheading the battle against top-seeded Nordenskov. DHV Odense delivered a stunning 2-3 victory in the opening match, surprising their highly favored opponents.
However, Nordenskov responded emphatically, securing two consecutive wins to take the series. Last Tuesday, Nordenskov claimed a 1-3 victory in Odense, and yesterday, Coach Hoeyberghs’ squad sealed the deal with a convincing 3-1 triumph, putting an end to Odense’s hopes.
All other top seeds unshaken
First-seeded ASV Elite had little trouble dispatching bottom-ranked Ikast. With two dominant wins (3-0 and 1-3), they comfortably advanced to the semifinals, where they will face defending champions Odense Volley.
Odense Volley methodically secured their spot in the semifinals in just two matches, overpowering Middelfart without dropping a single set (3-0 and 0-3). The reigning champions now aim for their third consecutive title.
Meanwhile, Vestsjaelland pushed Gentofte to the limit in two intense encounters (3-2 and 2-3). However, Gentofte’s experience and winning mentality proved decisive in both matches, allowing them to clinch their place in the semifinals. They will now face Nordenskov in a best-of-five battle.
