In the opening game of the third round, Pool Q, of the NORCECA Men’s World Championship Qualification, a more experienced Trinidad and Tobago fell to Costa Rica in five sets (17-25, 25-23, 23-25, 25-20, 18-25, 15-13).

The best scorer of the match was Costa Rican Richard Smith Hall with 26 points.
In the other match of the day in Pool Q, Canada beat Panama in three sets (25-17, 25-12, 25-18). Canada opposite Gavin Schmitt led his team with 18 points.
