Ukraine head coach Raul Lozano has named his 20-man squad for the 2026 Volleyball Nations League, with the headline news being the return of star outside hitter Oleh Plotnytskiy.

The Perugia standout rejoins the national team after last appearing for Ukraine in 2023. Plotnytskiy had previously stepped away from international competition amid tensions with the national federation, but now returns ahead of one of Ukraine’s most important campaigns in recent years.
His inclusion strengthens a roster that blends experienced internationals with emerging talent as Ukraine prepares for the global tournament.
Among the players selected is middle blocker Yuriy Semenyuk of PGE Projekt Warszawa. Four members of Barkom-Kazhany Lviv, currently competing in Poland’s PlusLiga, also made the final list: Illia Kovalov, Yaroslav Pampushko, Vladyslav Shchurov, and Vasyl Tupchiy.
Ukraine will open training camp in early May before a series of warm-up matches.
