The quarterfinals of the 2012 Women’s African Club Championship were finalised in Nairobi, Kenya on Monday with the preliminary round drawing to a close.

The eventual winners of the tournament will qualify for the FIVB women’s Volleyball Club World Championship, set to take place in Doha, Qatar in October.

All quarter-final matches will be staged at the Moi International Sports Center on Wednesday. Pipeline will meet Motema Pembe, Mafolofolo play Chlef, defending champions Prisons face Revenues Authority and Stef Auto clash with FAP.

POOL A

Kenya Pipeline pulled off a straight-sets (25-13, 25-12, 25-15) win over Nkumba University of Uganda to finish top of the pool and book a quarterfinal clash with Motema Pembe.

POOL B

In Pool B FAP overcame Canon of Congo 3-1 (25-27, 26-24, 25-16, 25-19) in a thrilling encounter to book their place in the final eight where they will meet Stef Auto.

POOL C

Kenya Commercial Bank failed to capitalise on the home support as they went down to Rwanda Revenue Authority 3-1 (28-26, 22-25, 27-25, 26-24) in an explosive match to advance to the quarterfinals where they will face African powerhouse Kenya Prisons.
