Recall that Vermeulen was the head coach of the Dutch Women’s National Team, and that he had to resign from that position so that he could be able to take over Men’s section.

“I am sorry because I did not finish the job with the Women’s team. We had the European Championship waiting for us, and I really believe that this team can reach the Olympics in 2016. But, I am now looking forward to start the project with the Men’s team. It has always been my desire to be the head coach of the Dutch Men’s  team. I can also say that the circle has been completed now.”
