Shanghai is simply unstoppable at the beginning of the Last 8 phase with 3 wins out of 3 matches and firmly holds the top spot in the standings.
In the 3rd round, Shanghai defeatead Bayi (25-20, 25-19, 25-17) and nailed the opponent to the bottom of the table with all three losses.
Italian Cristian Savani, along with Dai Qingyao, was the most efficient in Shanghai with 15 points. There were no players with double digits in Bayi.
Beijing is following Shanghai, now with the score of 2-1. The team from Chinese capital beat Fujian as a visitor. American William Price led the winning team with 14 points. Liu Libin collected 11. In a domestic team, no one scored 10 or more points.
Shandong struggled with Henan in the derby of this round but managed to overpower the opponent at the home court thanks to Ji Daoshuai (14) and Kou Zhichao (13). An interesting fact is that in Henan only five players scored points. Li Rui stood up with 10.
Sichuan triumphantly ended its first match of the Last 8 phase after beating Jiangsu. Sichuan had a magnificent French Mory Sidibé with 22 points, by far the best scorer. All the others stopped at 9 or less. Chen Zhang and Liu Xiangdong shared a title of the top scorer in Jinagsu with 12 points.
