Vermiglio
In the two simultaneously played games of the first matches of semifinals, favorites were more than successful.
Paykan and Urmia (second touch by Valerio Vermiglio closed the third set) beat underdogs, Shahrdari Tabriz and Mizan Khorasan VC.
Both teams won their matches by clean 3-0 victory, but it was not easy.
For example, Urmia needed 36 points to win the 2nd set (36-34)!
Game 1 and potential Game 3 of the semifinal series will be played at home court of the better placed team, while Game 2 is scheduled at home court of the worst ranked rival.
