The Danish Volleyball League, Volleyligaen, for women is entering its final stage. The two teams ready for the finals are Brøndby and Lyngby.

Brøndby won the championship also last year and the players in yellow shirts have already won the Danish national cup this season. Brøndby lost a single match in the semifinals and seem eager to go for the ‘double’ this season.

Their opponent in the Championship series, Lyngby, finished 2nd in the regular season. The red-shirted team needed all five matches to win their semifinal round and secure a spot in the final. It has been seven years since Lyngby last fought for the medals in the Danish national league.

The finals will be played with the format ‘best of five’.
