The victory was worth two spots for this important competition which is the first step towards 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Venezuela and Argentina sealed their passports!
The clashes of the last round were repeated in the semifinals.
Venezuela beat Chile, this time, with 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 26-24). The top scorer in the winning team was Maximo Montoya with 13 points, while Sebastian Gevert scored 12 points for Chile.
In the second semifinal, favored Argentina didn’t allow Colombia to interfere in its plans for participating in Japan and remained only undefeated team in the qualifiers – 3-0 (25-16, 25-23, 26-24).
The most efficient player in the Argentine team was Martin Ramos with 9 while Colombian Liberman Agamez was brilliant with 21 points on the other side.
The final of the Qualification Tournament will star Venezuela and Argentina, in the “Evangelista Mora” Coliseum in Cali.
