Everything had started in the best way for the home side in the opening set. France controlled the game from start to the end – 25-17.

However, the course of the match changed in the second set (27-29) when France missed two set balls. This was the turning point of the match as Slovenia claimed sets 3 and 4.

Hutinski, Zdovc and Cvetanovič, each scored 12 points for the winning team. In the “Blues”, Druenne also had 12.

The return match is scheduled for next week and will be played in Maribor.

EuroVolley will be held in the Netherlands and Belgium from September 26 to October 4.

Azerbaijani team (23 points from Rahimova) and Belarus (Kavalchuk scored 12)  are very close to participate at the ECH after straight-set wins over Slovakia and Ukraine.
