The quarterfinals of the 2015 Asian Championship in Tianjin (China) brought three expected outcomes and one upset.

China - Kazakhstan

China – Kazakhstan

The host China faced the Central Asian national team of Kazakhstan and thanks to superb offensive and defensive performance, easily won in straight sets, with partial 25-13, 25-11 and 25-11.

All statistic parameters were on the side of the Chinese team, although it wasn’t brilliant in the offense (52% of efficiency). Chinese players won 12 points from the block vs. 6 from Kazakhstan.

Chinese Zhu Ting was the best scorer of the match and only player with double digits – 14 points.

China will play the semi-final against defending champion Thailand who didn’t have problems with rejuvenated national team of Japan 3-0 (25-16, 25-15, 25-14).

We said there was one surprise in the quarterfinal. Vietnam, who showed some excellent performances so far was eliminated by the Chinese Taipei, in three sets!

In the last match of the day, South Korea struggled against Iran more than expected, but won in four sets.
