In a semi-final clash, Cuba will play against the United States who directly qualified for this stage of the competition as the leaders of its pool.
Cuban Melissa Vargas, who finished with a tournament-high of 30 points, has also recorded five aces out of nine from her team. Sulian Matienzo had 18.
Yarimar Rosa scored 24 for Puerto Rico while Stephanie Enright finished with 16 points on her account.
Cuba had 19 blocks compared to 14 from Puerto Rico while the ratio between two teams in aces was 9-3 for the winners.
The other semi-final pair is Dominican Republic (directly) and Argentina who defeated Canada.
