Thailand – Japan
Thus, Japanese team scored its premiere victory in Pool A in two matches played so far, while Thailand suffered its first defeat.
Interestingly, Thai team had huge advantage in sets one and two of a Bangkok clash (8-4, 10-5), but Japan didn’t give up in both cases.
In the third set, it was a totally different story, as visitors took an early lead and managed to keep it until the end.
Japan had the trio with double digits – Kimura (16), Nagaoka (15), Koga (14).
The same situation was in Thailand – Kongyot (13), Sittirak (12), Thinkaow (10).
