Brazil defeated Argentina in straight sets 3-0 earning a direct ticket to the semifinals in the men’s tournament while the hosts Canada made a sensational comeback from a 0-2 deficit to defeat USA 3-2 and claim first place in Pool B .
Puerto Rico beat Mexico 3-0 to finish with a 2-1 win-loss record and 10 points in Pool B and Cuba roared past Colombia to claim a straight-set 3-0 in a match of Pool A. Despite the victory, Cuba remained in third place of the pool behind Argentina.
