Australia can be dangerous even without its bomber Thomas Edgar! It beat Iranian national team at the 2015 FIVB World Cup in Japan, quick and easy 3-0 (27-25, 27-25, 25-22).

„Aussies“ prevailed Iran in straight sets? Well, it was impossible until recently, but the Asian team is having a huge problem to find recognizable play at the tournament so far, embarrassing their name built in volleyball world in past few years.

In the absence of Edgar, his replacement Paul Carroll was ungraspable for Iranian defense. He scored 24 points! It’s a stunt because the match went in three sets only.

On the other side, Shahram Mahmoudi kept showing that Irancould seriously count on him in a future. He was the only bright spot in his team today as well as on a previous few games – 21 point
