Led by Polish duo Zbigniew Bartman – Michal Lasko, Sichuan have downed Fujian at home court 3-1 (13-25, 25-19, 25-18, 32-30).
Away side was close to tie the score, but with four consecutive point Duhai Xiang saved the home side after playing 62 points!
Lasko was the top scorer with 20 points, while Bartman scored 18.
The reignin champions have also opened season with 3-1 win! They beat Hebei in four sets. Fang Yingchao was the top scorer in Shanghai with 20 points, Savani added 11, Touzinsky 7.
Two players had debut in Beijing’s jersey. Thomas Edgar and Leonel Marshall had good displays at the season opening. Beijing defeated Liaoning quickly in straigh sets. The Australian giant had 24 points, while Marshall recorded 12.
