Varamin’s player
It was a heavy to watch match where great volleyball was seen along with many objections of players of both teams on the way referees conducted the clash.
In the second set, Mojtaba Shaban from Saipa, reacted to losing a point, kicked one of the advertising panels, throw to the ground and broke it. In third set, Ahsanollah Shirkavand, libero of Varamin left the court and went to the changing room with a permit of the umpire. Mostafa Sharifta and Rahman Davoodi, two other Varamin’s players got yellow and red cards and gave away point to the opponents.
„Horrendous mistakes of referees brought disturbed spirit and mentality of my players and made them nervous. During my volleyball career, I had never seen such a weak refereeing,“ Mohammad Torkashvand, coach of Varamin complained after the match.
Other favorites achieved victories in this round: leaders Shahrdari Urmia VC, second placed Sarmayeh Bank and third placed Shahrdari Tabriz, as well as reigning champions Paykan Tehran.
