It was a derby of the two best placed teams in the standings after which Tianjin firmed themselves at the top, while Beijing remained second but with same number of points with two other teams.
Cuban Nancy Carrillo played another huge game, scoring 28points in winning team. On the other side, Liu Xiaotong had 17.
Bayi and Shanghai took advantage of Beijing’s loss to level with them in the table.
Canadian Sarah Pavan led Shanghai to 3-1 win over Zhejiang, while Bayi downed Jiangsu 3-1 with 23 points from Liu Yanhan.
Fujian still can’t get a grip as they suffered sixth defeat, being only winless team in Chinese league. This time they played without American Nicole Fawcett so, Puerto Rican Karina Ocasio was the best scorer (15 pts.).
